 Our vision

We seek to be a church that invites people from all walks of life into a community where FAITH grows, HOPE abounds, and LOVE shows.

We seek to be a community of believers that grows faith, humbled by our brokenness, encouraged by God’s grace, inspired by God’s word, and strengthened by our relationships with God and each other.

We seek to be a community that shares in the hope of God’s promises in Scripture and Christ’s Resurrection.

We seek to be a community that shows love in our worship, our relationships with one another, our outreach opportunities, and our spiritual lives.

our values

Introduction: The Church of Christ is a fellowship of independent congregations in almost every country. While members come from various religious and nonreligious backgrounds, they have begun a new life in Christ and share in a loving spiritual community.

Organization: We do not seek to be part of any religious tradition or to reform any ecclesiastical organization. Instead, we desire to restore the early church's spirit, teaching, and life, as revealed in the New Testament. This begins with the renewal or restoration of the Creator's image in each member's life (Colossians 3:10). Restoration grows as we seek to develop Christ-like character in a Christian community. Even though we remain imperfect and flawed, we experience transformation by the power of God in our lives (Romans 12:2).

Leadership: Each congregation in the Churches of Christ is autonomous and selects its spiritual leaders (Titus 1:5), called elders, pastors, bishops, overseers, or shepherds. Deacons work in conjunction with elders to serve the local congregations. Elders and deacons are selected according to instructions from the Bible. Spiritual leaders prepare or equip every Christian to be a minister according to his/her giftedness. Jesus reigns as head of the church (Colossians 1:18). Ultimately, we are part of God's kingdom. He is at work to bring about his purposes in and through his people (Philippians 2:13).

Core Beliefs: Our core beliefs are Christ-centered and biblical. We have no creed but Christ and no rule of faith except the Bible. Many opportunities and resources are provided for individual growth in knowledge of the Christian faith and the Bible. We encourage everyone to study and think for themselves. While our core beliefs are common orthodox Christian perspectives, we reserve the right to restudy and question some beliefs. We believe the truth of God is relevant and speaks powerfully to our world.

Worship Services: Worship services are characterized by simplicity and group participation, like assemblies in the early church (1 Corinthians 14). Members sing, lead prayers, and direct our reflections in communion. Following the example of the early church, we partake of the Lord's Supper each week (Acts 20:7). Services are typically punctuated with a practical, biblical message presented in a sermon. We take advantage of our time together to learn more about God and the Bible through various classes. After our service concludes, we enjoy visiting with and encouraging each other spiritually. We value our relationship with God and to one another. When you visit one of our services, consider yourself our guest. We would be honored to have the chance to know you!

Mission: We consider this text from the Gospel of Matthew sufficient for the mission of the Church: “Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." (Matthew 28:18-20). Our mission as a congregation is God-given. The mission to make disciples involves reaching out to the lost with the good news of Christ, advancing members to maturity in Christ, and equipping every member for works of service to praise and worship God. We spend much time in prayer.
